​Barbara has lived and painted in Winchcombe since 2006. She is a keen walker and her explorations of her beautiful local Cotwolds landscapes afford constant inspiration. She enjoys the subtle changes of light and colour as the seasons progress, and Barbara's knowledge of the area enables her to find the most characterful subjects.

 

Barbara completed the Norfolk Painting School Diploma course in July 2021, “with great distinction,” to quote Martin Kinnear, the Course Director. Barbara’s preference is to work in oils with expressive colour, combined with bold, cropped compositions, using energy and imagination in the application of paint.

 

Barbara is a member of Cheltenham and Winchcombe Open Studios and has sold paintings for many years as sole exhibitor from her own studio.
